I can't believe it is 2015! No, I haven't been living in fear of the end of the Mayan calendar, I have just been too lazy to post. After all this time I can't believe that I have yet to discuss food. I mean, I went to school to become a chef so one would assume that I would write a post about some aspect of the culinary world. Well, finally, this is it....and, although I love the food at WholeFoods' stores (I will not get involved in the "political/business" side of the stores), this post is NOT about WholeFoods. It is more about whole foods. It is about a dying art, a side of humanity that we are slowly losing touch with due to our love of largess, sloth and apathy.

Nope. This isn't a review of the new sitcom from Ryan Murphy, it's a post about how "getting by" can actually be the New Wealthy. Sounds impossible, doesn't it? Well, it isn't. It's all about perspective. Now, if your perspective tells you that you cannot possibly survive on less than six-figures, then you might be at the wrong Blogger site. For those of us who worried through this financial roller coaster that Wall Street has taken us on (and will continue to), I'm going to try to deprogram you.

I did it. Today. I deactivated my Facebook account. Gasp! I know, right? Right now it feels pretty damn good to not have to deal with how many "friends" I do or don't have. And who do we have to thank for my awakening? A stupid commercial by Toyota for their Venza wagon.
